This design features the Seal (or Character) of The Intelligence of the planet Mercury, lovingly recreated with a modern twist, and based on the original illustration from Agrippa’s Three Books of Occult Philosophy.
We have created a set of seven SPECIAL EDITION tees, each featuring one of the seven planetary spirits or intelligences. Each one is available in one colour only, chosen to reflect the nature of the planetary spirit. Why not collect the whole set of seven? You can choose a different planet for every day of the week!
Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa’s “Three Books of Occult Philosophy” (De Occulta Philosophia libri III) is a significant work during the Renaissance, exploring the relationship between magic and religion. Originally published in 1531 and completed in 1533, the three books cover elemental, celestial, and intellectual magic. Agrippa discusses astrology, Kabbalah, numerology, angels, and the virtues associated with these elements. He also explores their applications in medicine, alchemy, ceremonial magic, and more, drawing from Hebrew, Greek, and Chaldean sources.
