Jarmara is a familiar spirit or imp mentioned in ‘The Discovery of Witches’ (1647) by Matthew Hopkins.
Jarmara is described as being ‘like a fat Spaniel without any legs at all, she [the alleged witch] said she kept him fat, for she clapt her hand on her belly and said he suckt good blood from her body.’
