Description

The Celtic triple spiral motif, a triskelion of interlocked spirals, was first carved into stone 5000 years ago in Neolithic times. The Irish tricolour, a flag of green, white, and orange, represents unity among Ireland’s people. Green signifies Catholics, orange represents Protestants, and white symbolizes peace between the two communities.

The colours of the stripes are taken from the official guidance as set by the Department of the Taoiseach.

lthough strictly speaking the official Irish Flag guidelines require the pales (vertical stripes) to be of equal width, we’ve made the centre (white) stripe slightly narrower than the outer two colours, just so it doesn’t overpower them visually. We feel this slight adjustment makes for a more pleasing t-shirt design.
