{"id":8423898,"uuid":"a05d2970-e2a6-4be0-896c-1aa63967fb6f","name":"Wayland Smith Oversized Tee","description":"<p>The Neolithic long barrow known today as <strong>Wayland's Smithy<\/strong> was built in two phases between around 3600\u20133400 BC and is one of the many ancient monuments along the Ridgeway as it crosses the chalk ridge of the Berkshire Downs.<\/p><p>The site has long been linked with <strong>Wayland the Smith<\/strong>, the master craftsman of Norse and Saxon myth. Local folklore claimed that if a traveller left a coin on the stones and walked away, an invisible smith would shoe their horse by the time they returned.
