{"id":8390723,"uuid":"a04d5a68-e236-405a-ad45-845dbc6fd39b","name":"The Cherry Tree Oversized Jumper","description":"<p>Inspired by a woodcut illustration of <strong>The common English Cherrie tree <em>(Cerasus vulgaris)<\/em><\/strong> from <em>The Herball, or Generall Historie of Plantes<\/em> (John Gerard, London 1597).<\/p><p>The cherry tree has long held a place in English rural folklore \u2014 a bringer of luck when planted near the home, and a herald of changing seasons when it blooms in spring. Old tales speak of cherry trees that bowed to the blessed, or refused to bear fruit for the unkind. With its fleeting flowers and sweet but short-lived fruit, it speaks to the mystery and fragility of life.<\/p><p>A. E.
